A view of Winter, the Bottlenose Dolphin, swimming around a coral reef. If you love the ocean and dolphins, this is an example of what it could look like in your home.

Winter, the Bottlenose Dolphin

Winter is a dolphin that was found after an injury to his tail from crab traps. He could not swim correctly. He was rescued and taken to Clearwater Marine Aquarium in Florida. The movie Dolphin Tale tells the story of his rescue and how a prosthetic tail was made for him. There are live cameras where you watch Winter and Hope rescued bottlenose dolphins swim. Though these dolphins will never return to the wild we can only imagine what it is like for them swimming in the ocean around coral reefs. The live cans are at seewinter.com.

The painting is a mono-print collage. Mono-prints are made using a gel press, special paper and acrylic paint. Each print is unique. The painting is then made using different shapes of the mono-prints. A painting this size uses hundreds of unique mono-prints.
