Forrest Fortier resides in South Carolina and adopted it as her home in 1995. She obtained her nursing degree from Penn State University and a masters in training and development from St. Francis University. She has always been creative, artistic and an out of the box thinker as she helped others develop nursing skills throughout her career. Forrest is now retired from nursing. Art began as a hobby as a teenager and progressed to professional artist later in life.Forrest’s love of art began with her great grandmother, Ann Marie Brown, who was a professional artist in the late 1800s – early 1900s. As a hobby, Forrest began painting and learned various techniques in watercolor, acrylics, oil, color pencil and mixed media as well as pyrography and mono-print collages. Before retirement from nursing, Forrest honed in on her inherited talent taking classes and workshops. She is learning a lot on this journey and enjoys seeing the excitement that a new piece brings to a person when they see it for the first time. Want to learn how to develop your art skills?
